Pastor Fleming's Educational Preparation for Christian service

Graduate of North Greenville University, Tigerville, SC, with an Associate of Arts Degree

Graduate of Furman University, Greenville, SC, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with triple majors:
History, Social Studies (Geography, Government, Sociology, Psychology), and Secondary Education (with High School Teaching Certification)

Graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX, with a Masters of Theology Degree (MTh)

Postgraduate studies at Clemson University, Clemson, SC

Postgraduate Doctoral Studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Most Doctorates requirements have been satisfied with the exception of the Doctoral Dissertation

Pastor Fleming's Practical Experience

Classroom experience teaching History and Government to high school students, prior to enrollment in Seminary

Service as a bi-vocational Pastor and Journeyman carpenter while attending Seminary

Pastor of Mambrino Baptist Church, Granbury, Texas, while in Seminary and following graduation from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

Pastor of Georges Creek Baptist Church, Easley, SC, upon returning to his beloved native state of South Carolina

Pastor of Standing Springs Baptist Church, Simpsonville, SC, for more than 14 years. During his tenure the church grew dramatically and averaged 640 individuals in Sunday School during the last year of his ministry.

Pastor of Mountain Creek Baptist Church, Greenville, SC, for more than 14 years.

Pastor of Second Baptist Church, Greer, SC, beginning in 2004 following the retirement Pastor Hollifield.

Pastor Fleming's ministries have been blessed wherever he as served. His leadership, pastoral skills and guidance, resulted in building programs that virtually doubled the facilities of each of his prior churches. He is a man of great character and presence, but possesses a gentle and loving spirit. His love of the Lord, his family, and his church family are evident to all who have the opportunity to meet him.

Our Pastor's Family

Rev. Ron and Christy Fleming make their home in rural Duncan, SC, where children and grandchildren are often present. Ron has a love for woodworking and using his hands, and can be frequently seen riding his motorcycle when the weather is suitable.

Christy, in addition to the responsibilities of a Pastor's wife, spends her time with the children and grandchildren, and is considered an expert in sports cards and sports memorabilia. She is also the full time proprietor of On Deck Circle sports card shop in Taylors, SC.
